Real Madrid targets Fluminese striker Pedro Guilherme
El Clasico battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona is not played only on the pitch. There is constant battle between them in acquiring the top players, grabbing the young talent, and marketing their club to prove that they are no.1 club in the world. Their latest battle came in acquisition of a central-striker. Yesterday, it was reported that Barcelona is eyeing Genoa new sensation Krzyisztof Piatek to replace Luis Suarez. Then today, Real Madird came up with their replacement of Karim Benzema in Fluminese striker Pedro Guilherme.
The 21-year-old Fluminese striker is on radar of Sevilla, AS Roma, and AC Milan. But, Diario AS reports that Real Madrid is also interested in the Fluminese striker.
AS reports says, “Real Madrid continues with its policy of attracting the best young talents in the world and they’re currently looking for options in forward department. Fluminese striker Pedro Guilherme is their latest target as they have been managing good reports about the Brazilian. Young Guilherme has scored 12 goals this season in 23 games and it doesn’t go unnoticed by the scouting team.”
However, the young forward has renewed his contract with Fluminese a few months ago extending his contract to 2021. He also has a buyout clause of €50 million. But, AS understands that Fluminese would be willing to accept a offer of €20 to €25 million.
Spanish outlet also reports that arrival of Mariano Diaz wouldn’t affect interest in Fluminese striker Pedro Guilherme. The Madrid could shuffles many options to sign him. They could incorporate him directly into their first team or they could send him to Castilla just like Vinicius Jr to gain some European experiences.
Guilherme is ranked highly by Brazil national team coach Tite as well. He was expected to debut for Brazil on this international break, but he suffered a knee-injury against Cruzeiro on 26 August which forced him to wait for Selecao shirt.
