Philippe Coutinho was very keen to join Barcelona this summer despite his national teammate Neymar opted to move away from Catalan club. Reports suggest that Liverpool withstood three offers from Barcelona to keep hold of him in summer, but latest development suggest he’ll join Blaugranas in January. However, there is a twist in the tail and Coutinho’s saga has taken a swift turn. Express.co.uk reports as per Mundo Deportivo that Real Madrid is monitoring Coutinho’s situation at Liverpool and may hijack his deal to prepare for a move next summer.
It was with great sadness to hear the sad news that our Curtis Allen has passed away. He was a great fan of Liverpool FC and it was a real honour and joy to have been able to meet Curtis. He had such a vibrant personality. My thoughts and prays are go out to his family and we are all thinking of you. GOD bless you ! #youwillneverwalkalone
It is claimed Madrid would ideally sign Coutinho next summer compared to Barcelona, who want the Brazilian playmaker at Camp Nou in January 2018. But, it will be a three way competition for the player in summer next season if Brazilian deal is not finalized in January.
PSG is also very keen to ask for Coutinho from Liverpool. This season arrival of Neymar has brought hurdle for the Parisian because of financial fair play regulation and they can only bid for Coutinho next season. If Coutinho doesn’t join Barcelona, PSG will give him opportunity to play with his international teammates like Neymar, Dani Alves, Marquinhos, and Thiago Silva.
Real Madrid can offer a great prospect for the player, but they’ll have to offload some of their talents to acquire the Brazilian little magician. They are also aware that if they wait until summer, PSG would hijack the deal with a better offer.
Barcelona have the safe bet on player because Coutinho himself is very keen to join them, but the only hurdle is Liverpool’s resistance. Catalan club has already offered €150 million for the player, now onus lies on Liverpool to release him from their services.
