Carlo Ancelotti wants a reunion with James Rodriguez to revive his career

Carlo Ancelotti brought James Rodriguez to Real Madrid after Colombian Golden Boot earning performance at 2014 FIFA World Cup. But, after Italian manager farewell at Santiago Bernabeu, James hasn’t find his life easy playing under Zinedine Zidane. He often finds spending his time on the bench rather than getting minutes in playing XI. According to Marca reports, Ancelotti wants a reunion with James Rodriguez to revive his career.

Marca writes,”the coach who brought Rodriguez to Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti has asked Bayern Munich to make an effort to bring no.10 to Germany in the summer. It is a deal that, apparently, has the blessings of directors of the Bavarian club and it’s a move which the Colombian would jump at.”

“Marca understands that Rodriguez doesn’t want to continue at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and although two months ago he insured that his desire was to remain in Madrid and fight for his place next season, the reality is that he remains very upset with his situation.”Carlo Ancelotti wants James Rodriguez reunion to revive his career

Although, Colombian forward player is out of favour at Madrid under Zidane, he was Ancelotti favourite. The 57-year-old Italian manager speaks highly of Rodriguez, as he surprised him with his performance in his debut season at Real Madrid. Colombian scored 17 goals and provided 16 assists in 44 appearance under Carlo Ancelotti in 2014/15 season. It surprises Ancelotti, why is not getting time in current Madrid side.

In an interview with AS in early season, Ancelotti backed Rodriguez to stay at the club and fight for his position. He said,”to play at Real Madrid is not easy because there is a lot of competition. But, I am a little bit surprised by Rodriguez’s lack of playing time.”

“There are times when not everything comes out how you would like to. You can have problems one year. The important thing for a player is continue to fight, even if you don’t play in every game. He is still young.”

Now, it seems, Ancelotti himself has run out of patience, and don’t want to see one of his hire career to be ruined at his old club, he wants Rodriguez back at his current club Bayern Munich. Although, Rodriguez is not lacking options because clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Juventus are linked with his name, but he will prefer to go to Bayern Munich for little more consistency in Uefa Champions League and prospect of winning silverware every season.

The 25-year-old captain’s his Colombia national team, and he is struggling for playing time at club level. He only has started six games in Laliga this season, substituted seven times, and was left on the bench seven time. It’s surely not a happy time for him at Real Madrid, and he will jump on to Bayern Munich’s offer if it comes. But, it depends on Real Madrid as well, because they will be looking to cash in at least €80 million from Rodriguez sell.
