Barcelona eyeing Genoa striker Krzyisztof Piatek to replace Luis Suarez
Barcelona is eyeing Genoa striker Krzyisztof Piatek. It’s a surprise element for the new transfer window. Summer transfer window has already ended and clubs couldn’t make a move for a player until January transfer window and here FC Barcelona have already started their scouting to replace Luis Suarez.
Sport reports from the house of Italian outlet Il Secolo XIX, that 23-year-old Polish striker is already catching eye of the top European clubs only after spending three weeks in top flight with his new club.
Krzyisztof Piatek arrived to Genoa for only €4 million from his native Polish club KS Crackovia. He has spent only two months in Italy and has already adapted well. He has started well in Serie A scoring three goals in two appearances and he has a bomb of a start in Italian Cup.
Piatek has become famous at Genoa after his four goals against Lecce in Coppa Italia’s third-round. It earned him international call from Poland’s manager Jerzy Brzeczek.
It’s only his first spell in top flight football and he is already earning accolades. Last season, he scored 21 goals in 36 appearances for Cracovia. It helps him to make a move to Genoa, but the way he’s going it seems Genoa won’t be able to keep him with themselves for long.
Barcelona is looking to replace Luis Suarez permanently because Uruguayan striker is getting older. They see a great potential in Krzyisztof Piatek. What a great opportunity for him to replace the man himself about him he reads in his autobiography. Piatek is a great admirer of Luis Suarez and he reads Uruguayan’s autobiography in his free time.
