Messi may help Di Maria to join Barcelona in January for better communications between them for FIFA World Cup Russia 2018
Angel Di Maria was close to joining Barcelona in the summer despite being a former Real Madrid player. In his recent interview Di Maria said, “I was close to joining Barcelona in the summer and yet far away at the same time. It is hard to complete moves to these clubs. I never lost hope of it going through but in the end it didn’t happen.”
He also adds as Express.co.uk reports, “My Madrid past wouldn’t have been an issue as I’m not a Madrid fan and I always point that out whenever I’m asked about it.”
It gives hint that Di Maria is still open about a move to Barcelona, and it may take place in January transfer window. Barcelona attempted to sign Philippe Coutinho and Di Maria in summer, but their respective clubs didn’t allow them to make a move to the Catalan club for the amount it offered.
Now, Spanish media Don Balon believes Di Maria move may take place in January. Di Maria will meet Messi during the international break in November and they may talk about playing together at club level as well.
Di Maria’s playing time at PSG is limited with the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. He is not a kind of player who would like to sit out at bench at the peak of his career and his PSG time seems to be limited.
Fideo is such a gifted player and he was once considered as world’s finest left foot player on flanks with his speed and passing accuracy. Barcelona will definitely benefit with his arrival at Camp Nou as it seems Blaugranas are still searching for their right-wing player. They have used Gerard Deulofeu, Andre Gomes, Sergio Roberto and Ousmane Dembele in the same position, but they still need to finalize a name in starting XI.
Messi’s good relationship with Di Maria and in search of better communication between the two on field during FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, it is a possibility that La Pulga helps Fideo make a move to Camp Nou.
