Paulo Dybala – The Jewel is getting out of fashion
Paulo Dybala is often referred as “La Joya” (The Jewel) is getting out of fashion. it’s strange that when his place in Argentina playing XI is almost fixed after Lionel Messi’s temporary break, he is finding it difficult to find place in Juventus playing XI.
He was very happy with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo as Bianconero. He’s a big fan of the former Real Madrid man and he was very excited to share the dressing room with one of the best and learn from him, but it seems Portuguese star arrival has left him out on the bench.
Juventus’ best player of last two seasons is forced to sit on the bench. The Jewel is finding it difficult to get his place in playing XI. Cristiano Ronaldo arrival has changed the dynamics at Juventus. Tuttosport even reports that Juventus is ready to sell Dybala to acquire Foirentina’s Federico Chiesa.

They are playing 4-3-3 in the new formation and there is no place for a false no.9 in the team. Cristiano Ronaldo and Federico Bernardeschi are first choice for Massimiliano Allegri on the wings and playing Mario Mandzukic as centre-forward.
Juventus’ best player of last two seasons is forced to sit on the bench. The Jewel is finding it difficult to get his place in playing XI. He is best utilized playing behind no.9 as no.10 or playing as a false no.9. But in current formation, Juventus has no place for their star man.
Its current reality which is difficult to digest. He can’t play on the wings because he’s not faster than available options in Douglas Costa or Juan Cuadrado. He can’t join midfield because he doesn’t help in defending. His best place on the field is no.10 role where he plays with his free-style of football.
There is no lack of talent and skill-set in “The Jewel”, that’s why he’s called “La Joya”. He is best in his position and he has been compared to Messi as well. He showed his skills in UEFA Champions League 2016/17 quarterfinal first-leg against Barcelona.

Dybala overshadowed Messi in that particular match. He got all the praise he deserved, he was even claimed as Messi’s hier. But 18 months later, The Jewel has got out of fashion.
The Jewel who was face of not only Juventus but Serie A, has lost his flair. He already has 5 goals in his first three Serie A appearances in 2017/18 season. And coming into this new season, he only has played 100 minutes out of 270 minutes.
He is down in pecking order for Massimiliano Allegri. He’ll have to find his rhythm soon before the world forgets about him. Allegri has got no reason to change his playing XI knowing Bernardeschi and Mandzukic have started well at front. He can’t replace Cristiano Ronaldo, simply because Portuguese great has yet to find his first goal in Juventus’ star and club fans & tv watchers around the globe wants to see world’s best player playing rather than watch him sit on the bench.

Allegri excused that Dybala is not fit before his selection about team against Parma. Juventus coach said as calciomercato reports, “Dybala? He is calm but not fit yet. He has to recover his fitness just like many other strikers. After the international break, every player must be fit. Replacements will be very important against Parma.”
Dybala has got great chance to be back in rhythm on his international duties. La Joya is selected for Argentina in friendly against Guatemala and Colombia. He has got a great chance to prove his worth in a playing XI rather than sitting on the bench. Not fit is only an excuse, knowing he played full 90 minutes in opening game against Chievo.
He was dropped against Lazio and played only last 10 minutes against Parma. Serie A star need to find his rhythm or otherwise he won’t survive under the shadow of CR7. The Jewel is getting out of fashion, La Joya needs to prove now that he’s really “The Jewel”.
