Mauro Icardi is enjoying life in Italy and San Siro is decorated with his posters on Internazionale’s match day. Inter Milan captain has already scored 13 goals this season which has led to Nerazzurri’s unbeaten run in Serie A.
Italian media reports that many clubs are looking to grab the Argentine star from Inter Milan. Fabrizio Romano told Calciomercato that a number of teams could be interested in signing Icardi. Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich are noticing the forward movements and it’s worrying sign for Inter.
Former AC Milan striker Daniele Massaro told Spanish media AS, “i can tell you today that Mauro Icardi will be a Real Madrid striker next year. His arrival will be at the expense of (Karim) Benzema.”
The Argentine has a contract at the San Siro until 2021, and the club would make no mistake to lose him cheap. Inter Milan is evaluating a new deal for their star forward as his name started to circulate in transfer market. The Nerazzurri forward has a release clause of €110 million in his contract, but keeping in mind Neymar & Mbappe deal, it seems too small to keep the player away from a lucrative deal.
However, the player himself hasn’t asked for transfer and club itself is not eager to sell. Inter Milan is going strong this season and they may qualify for Champions League next season, and in the meantime Internazionale’s new Chinese owner don’t want to lose their star cast.
Calciomercato doesn’t reveal the financial aspects of the deal for Icardi, but they do reveal that Inter is considering offering a better salary and adding a better clause too in his contract. It makes sure Inter has no intention of losing their star player and 23-year-old is here to stay for a longer period.
