A heated affair ended 2-2 at the end of the match, where we witnessed the both side royal boxes filled up with Chinese heads. Inter Milan playing as a home side had a brilliant start as Antonio Candreva and Mauro Icardi gave them 2-0 lead from first half, but there was a twist in the tail.

AC Milan fought back in last quarter of the second half to score twice and snatch a draw. Allesio Romagnoli volleyed Suso cross to make it 2-1, and from the last kick of the match Cristian Zapata put the ball inside the goal line which goalline technology confirmed as Gary Medel tried to head out.

AC Milan were on front foot from the very first kick but it was Internazionale who had the lead. They could have easily 4-0 up in first half, if Ivan Rakitic and Icardi haven’t had perished their chances. Rossoneri were good in attack, but their final ball was always missing in the first half. Nerazzurri took the advantage and hit them on counter, and they were successful twice. But, Rossoneri good work paid them in later half of the game. Romagnoli and Zapata proved to be the hero of the match with late goals.

In return fixture earlier this season, AC Milan were leading 2-0, then Inter came from behind to finish it 2-2. This time AC Milan emulated the feat taking revenge as they came from behind to finish it 2-2. It must be mesmerizing for the AC Milan’s new owner Yonghong Li who completed the Rossoneri takeover on Thursday. Derby Della Madoninna couldn’t have had a perfect start for their renewed rivalry under the Chinese ownerships.
