AS Roma will become a supermarket again this summer
If Calciomercato sources to be believed, AS Roma will become a supermarket again this summer. After Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo, commonly known as Monchi arrived as sporting director of Giallorossi last summer, Roma was criticized for becoming a supermarket. Now, Roma sporting director is once again ready to go for shopping.
Fichajes.net reports that Monchi has an extensive list to strengthen Roma even more. They almost have a playing XI ready as they pick the players in defense, midfield, and forward roles.
Roma has lined up Manchester United’s Matteo Darmain, Hoffenheim’s Pavel Kaderabek, and Lens’ William Bianda to strengthen their defense. And if Greek defender Kostas Manolas leaves in the summer, Monchi has plans for bringing Ajax’s Matthijs de Ligt.
Monchi has his targets in midfield as Ante Coric (Dinamo Zagreb), Diego Laxalt (Genoa), Bryan Cristante (Atalanta), Talisca (Besiktas), Hakim Ziyech (Ajax), and Josip Ilisic (Atalanta).
Roma sporting director targets to strengthen forward line are Domenico Berardi (Sassuola), Hirving Lozano (PSV Eindhoven), Simone Verdi (Bologna), Federico Chiesa (Fiorentina), Mario Balotelli (Nice), and Justin Kluivert (Ajax).
It’s a pretty big summer transfers target and to accommodate that Monchi must also have had plans to let go the unwanted players. There are rumors for Edin Dzeko, Cengiz Under, Allison Becker, and Kostas Manolas leaving the club. It may be one of the reasons that AS Roma’s sporting director is ready with his options.
