AS Roma finally came alive against Frosinone
AS Roma finally come alive against Frosinone after five frustrating games. Giallorossi needed a big victory after frustrating games and they served themselves humiliating Frosinone 4-0.
AS Roma boss Eusebio di Fracesco was furious with his team attitude after 2-0 lost against Bologna and he needed a quick reaction to find the rhythm back. He made few changes in the playing XI as he promised saying he doesn’t know his best playing XI and it proved fruitful.
He played 4-2-3-1 formation dropping Eden Hazard, Alessandro Florenzi, Bryan Cristante, and Lorenzo pellegrini. Di Franceco brought in Patrik Schick as centre-forward, played Stephan El Shaarawy, Cenzig Under and Javier Pastore just behind him.
Roma flourished in this new formation as they prepared for Saturday’s Derby della Capitale against Lazio who also registered a 2-1 victory over Udinese.
Cenzig Under was on the scoresheet within two minutes of the game started. He made a forward run from his own half to launch a missile from 30 yards out leaving Marco Sportiello helpless despite giving a touch to the ball.

Pastore served himself with his another back-heel goal, and Stephan El Shaarawy complement them tripling the advantage within first-half itself putting the ball in an open net from Cenzig Under’s assist.
Aleksandar Kolarov completed the rout in second-half with his 87th minute strike thanks to debutant substitute Luca Pellegrini’s assist. Patrik Schick was unlucky to not find himself on the scoresheet as he was involved in most of the goals scored and hit the crossbar on one occasion as well.
Against Juve Frosinone were playing with clenched teeth, hanging on with all their might to keep Juve out and then conceded 2 anyway at the end. Today they took one look at Roma and just thought, nope not doing that again. Roma 4-0 up.

After the victory, Eusebio di Francesco said it’s a new beginning for Roma. He told DAZN as Football Italia reports, “This is a new beginning for us, a new season has started. We are growing and we’ve got to get back to doing what we know. It’s never easy to win in Serie A and I had asked to keep a clean sheet tonight too. We have done nothing yet, as there’s Lazio and Derby on Saturday. This is a starting point. It was important to rediscover our confidence and prepare well.”
In other Serie A matches, Juventus defeated Bologna 2-0 as Paulo Dybala returns to scoring goals. Napoli also registered a 3-0 victory over Parma, Genoa defeated Chievo 2-0, Atalanta played a 0-0 draw against Torino, and Cagliari also managed a 0-0 draw against Sampdoria.
