Top fours are expecting Chelsea to lose points on every match day, but Blues are shining high. Premier League leader, Chelsea added another victory to their name to extend their lead over the nearest rival to 10 points. Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, both shine in Blues glory to beat London rival West Ham United 2-1.

Blues registered their 21st victory of the season to create a ten-point gap over second places Tottenham Hotspur, who also won their fixture against Everton on Sunday. Third placed Manchester City also registered a 2-0 victory over Sunderland to put pressure on the league leader Chelsea, but Blues are simply living in a different world.

Chelsea victory over Swansea ends title challengers’ debate

Belgian winger Eden Hazard opened the scoring for Chelsea in 25th minute with a subtle counter-attack. Former Leicester City player N’Golo Kante read a Robert Snodgrass pass in his own half, and made a timely intervention to allow Hazard to charge on counter-attack. Hazard played a perfect one-two with Pedro Rodriguez, before committing himself for the goal, and then shifted the ball past West Ham’s keeper Darren Randolph to slot home.

He faced trouble celebrating the goal when Hammers fans gone out of control, but he made his mark once again. He was also the centre of attraction with his corner ball in second half, when Diego Costa claims a goal with his thigh infliction. It was Spaniard 17th of the season, and his goal proved decisive at the end, when West Ham pulled one in injury time.

Chasing Chelsea is an uphill task for the title challengers

Chelsea took good care of the West Ham in-form striker Andy Carroll, to not to allow many aerial balls in the box, but in the end Carroll physical side came into play when he outmuscled Cesc Fabregas and fed Andrew Ayew. Ayew delivered the ball to Manuel Lanzini and Argentine midfielder made no mistake to earn the consolation in London derby.
