Premier League is in its eight match day and Crystal Palace has yet to open their account. Here comes defending champion Chelsea to visit them at Selhurst Park and Eagles earn their first victory of the season. Crystal Palace sitting at bottom hurts defending champion Chelsea registering a 2-1 victory.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea team has struggled against the teams who have managed to take lead against them at half-time, but it was Crystal Palace. Eagles haven’t scored in their last seven outings. It was difficult to imagine that they’ll register their score their first goal and register a victory against the defending champion, but it did happen.

They needed something positive and they needed quick. They do have defeated Chelsea last season with the same scoreline and they had the belief they can do it again. As it happened, Eagles won the game 2-1 and hurt the defending champion.

Cesar Azpilicueta deflection earned an own goal for Crystal Palace in 11th minute and Chelsea were not quick to react. Newly arrived French midfielder Bokayoko do earned the equalizer for the Blues but Wilfred Zaha handed the lead to Eagles and it proved good enough to end the game 2-1.

Second half doesn’t provide much of the rescue for the Blues and Roy Hodgson side tasted their first victory of the 2017/18 season. It was second consecutive defeat for Chelsea against Crystal Palace as they lost 2-1 last season as well against them.
