Florian Thauvin will be of great interest for big clubs next summer

Olympique Marseille right-winger Florian Thauvin is flourishing this season with the club. He has already scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists in 15 overall games for Marseille this season. it’s a pretty good stats for a player who has been a mess for himself swinging on a pendulum from Newcastle to Marseille throughout his career. Now fresh with a hat-trick against Amiens, he is ready to raise his market value and earn interest from big clubs next summer.

Thauvin is going to be a great interest for big clubs next summer. There are very few wingers in the world who can accommodate themselves in different role and Thauvin is one of them. We guess he is an underrated player seeing his market value according to transfermarkt.

Transfermarkt rates him a £45 million player and its date also goes back to June 4, 2018. I’m sure, the way he is performing even if he touches 20 goals mark this season, he’ll flying higher.

It’s a shame that Newcastle dropped him last season for only £9 million, when he was valued £16 million. But sometimes changes in career works and he is earning the fruits of his hard work at Marseille after a long frustrating times swinging on a pendulum from Newcastle to Marseille.

Thauvin is showing consistency in his performance now. He scored 22 Ligue 1 goals and assisted 11 more last season in 34 appearances. This season, he is already half the way to achieve his last season target.

Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich were linked with the player last season, but now fresh bids from Chelsea and West Ham United has arrived. However, Marseille’s president Jacques-Henri Eyraud have said that he’s not going to sell Thauvin even if a £80 million bid is place.

He told SFR Sport in May as FourFourTwo reported, “If there is an offer of 80 million euros for Thauvin, I won’t even look at it. He’s aware that OM has given him a lot of support. This is not the end of the story. There are still even more beautiful pages to write. We’re counting on him for next season to take us further. He has had an extraordinary season. He’s a great player. He has grown, he has matured, and the coach has helped him a lot to achieve his goals, even to surpass them.”

We hope Eyraud is satisfied with his performance this season as well. Thauvin has helped Marseille side to get closer to top four in Ligue 1 with his goals and assists. They are only a point behind third and fourth place Montpellier and LOSC respectively. They are definitely going to finish in top four this season and achieve at least the same target they achieved last season and Thauvin is going to play a great role in him.
