Ligue 1 trying to grab the Asian market scheduled the OGC Nice vs PSG game at noon. France’s two top teams were up against each-other and it was expected to be a thrilling game. It didn’t turn up as expected, but somehow Dani Alves managed to save the day for PSG with his first Ligue 1 goal.
Nice strikes first as Allan Saint-Maximin gave them the lead in 17th minute, but it was short-lived. Angel Di Maria continuing on with his good form strikes four minutes later to put PSG on a level term. It ended 1-1 before the break. However, PSG’s star midfielder Adrien Rabiot had the chance to make it 2-1 from his free header.

Saint- Maximin was denied his brace by Alphonse Areola in the 50th minute, whereas on the other hand Mbappe’s goal was ruled out six minutes later as he was caught offside. Former Liverpool man Mario Balotelli had a great chance to earn the victory for Nice but he blazed his free-kick over the bar in the 70th minute.
Balotelli was also unfortunate five minutes later when he beat Areola to Wylan Cyprien’s corner, but his header came back off the bar. It wasn’t only Balotelli’s bad day, Mbappe didn’t enjoy a good game on the other side of the pitch as well. He failed to convert Di Maria’s inviting cross three minutes later and scored left level till 82nd minute.
It was Dani Alves who silenced the Allianz Riviera crowd with eight minutes remaining scoring a downward header meeting Rabiot’s cross. It helped PSG to stretch their winning run in Ligue 1 to nine games and gave Alves the best moment to celebrate his first Ligue 1 goal.
