Real Madrid recovered with Cristiano Ronaldo’s rebound effort to register a victory against Malaga after plentiful errors helped Malaga to level on terms with them. Malaga was on level terms with Madrid till 75th minute, but Luka Modric earned a penalty for Ronaldo in the 76th minute and Portuguese takes his forward with rebound effort after first failed to convert the penalty.

Los Blancos needed a victory to keep the pressure on table topper Barcelona, hoping that Blaugranas loses point against Valencia in La Liga table topper clash on Sunday. Santiago Bernabeu giants were 10 points behind the Catalans before the matchday 13 takes place and they needed to grab all three points to cut the gap to 7 points until Barcelona faces Valencia at Mestalla Stadium.

Madrid started well with Karim Benzema’s effort to give them lead, but Malaga soon find their opportunity to put the things on level term. Toni Kroos failed to execute a back pass to find Raphael Varane and Diego Rolan fired home from a close range to put Malaga on level terms.

It was Ganzalo Castro who equalized for Malaga at hour mark after Real goalkeeper Kiko Casilla gifted him the opportunity with his horrendous mistake.

Madrid was in urgency to find the winner and they are known for finding the late winner. Malaga couldn’t afford a mistake to grab a point against the defending champion, but they offered them the lifeline with a mistake inside the box fouling substitute Luka Modric. Ronaldo didn’t need a second opportunity to fire home from the spot, but this time Portuguese striker failed to convert from the spot and he needed a rebound effort to put the ball high into the net.

Levante vs Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid was rescued with the luck favouring them as Ronaldo netted from the rebound effort. On the other hand, Atletico Madrid is finding their class back. Los Rojiblancos netted five goals against Levante to put themselves ahead of their cross city rivals. Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro, both scored double on the night to give a rest to manager Diego Simeone concerns of lacking a clear match winner.
