Messi, Suarez & Neymar strikes to keep Barcelona title defend alive

MSN 100 goals, Barcelona title defend,Lionel Messi's 50 goal mark

Barcelona sees off Villarreal 4-1 at Camp Nou to keep alive the title race. Laliga title is not in Barcelona’s hand, even if they win their remaining game, but they can hope for Real Madrid to lose points. In order to keep their title defending alive, Los Azulgranas’ MSN trio combines once again to put an impressive display against the visitors Villarreal. Messi, Suarez & Neymar strikes in 4-1 victory against Yellow Submarines.

Neymar opened the scoring for Barcelona to grab his 10th goal of the season, but Cedric Bakambu equalized for Villarreal to give a nervous moment once again. Lionel Messi rescued the situation for Barcelona grabbing his 34th goal of the season just before half time, restoring the lead to score his 50th in all competition.

MSN trio scores 100 goals third season in a row

Luis Suarez brilliantly scored Barcelona’s third after a great run from Sergio Roberto, and Messi was lucky to slot Barcelona’s fourth from the penalty spot to score his 35th for the campaign. It was a harsh call by referee to award penalty after Villarreal’s defender handed the ball in the penalty area, which wasn’t deliberate, but Barcelona’s no.10 calmly takes the penalty in 82nd minute to end Yellow Submarines chances of making a comeback.

Barcelona can’t afford to lose a single point and Messi made sure that he doesn’t leave anything on the table from his side to put a dent on their double chances. They are already in Copa del Rey final, which they’ll play against Alaves on 27th May, and their Laliga title defending is in Real Madrid’s hand.

MSN trio also scores 100 goals together for the season during the match. Barcelona’s second goal from Messi’s effort from outside of the box was 100th for the MSN for this season. Suarez & Messi also extends it to 102 from their respective goals in later half. It’s third season in a row that MSN trio has been able to score century goals together.

In first year of their campaign, MSN scores 122 goals together, whereas 131 last season. It’s highly unlikely that they’ll score those many with only three game remaining including Copa del Rey final, but they do have proved with third consecutive century goals together that they are best attacking trio, outsmarting Real Madrid’s BBC trio.

Although, Real Madrid also makes an easy trip to Granada to register a 4-0 thumping victory despite the absence of star man Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona may be hoping for Los Blancos to lose points but eleven time Champions League winner is not ready to give up their domestic challenge as well. Which they haven’t won in last four seasons.
