Don Andres Iniesta signs life time contract with Barcelona

FC Barcelona kept their faith in their versatile midfielder Don Andres Iniesta as they offered him a life-time contract. The 33-year-old Spanish international star signs an agreement on Friday in presence of club president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who handed him the no.8 shirt written “Iniesta forever”.

Andres Iniesta has been a role model for the La Masia graduates since his debut in the first team. Iniesta joined the La Masia academy at the age of 12 in 1996, and made his debut for the first team in 2002. He has appeared for the club 639 times, and with Xavi Hernandez 763 appearances sits at second place on all time appearances list.

He has scored 55 times for the club and has a decorative career with 30 titles to his name alongside Lionel Messi.
