Bengaluru FC is only five years old club in Indian football history but the way they have unfurled their flags on home soil, it has brought trouble times for the old and established one. Super Machans won the I-leaue in their debut season in 2013/14 season, and they are only 90 minutes away from winning Hero Indian Super League 2017/18 in their debut season as well.

Chennaiyin FC will challenge them in the ISL 2017/18 final at their home ground Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, March 17. It will be home advantage for the league leaders, but previous champion Chennaiyin FC will try to emulate their feat of 2015 trophy winning season giving a good fight.

Bengaluru FC and Chennaiyin FC, both teams have reached to the final defeating FC Pune (3-1) and FC Goa (4-1) aggregate respectively over the two legs semifinals. Sunil Chhetri’s Bengaluru also managed to finish first on points table with their 40 points from 18 rounds of matches, whereas Chennai finishes second on points table with their 32 points.

If Bengaluru has Sunil Chhetri in their star lineup, Chennai boasts of Jeje Lalpekhlua another Indian team star in their ranks. It’s going to be a tough battle at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, but Super Machans will have home advantage over The Southern Eagles with their loyal fan base of West Block Blues.

We cannot rule out Chennaiyin chances to emulate their 2015 feat, but Bengaluru will definitely have an advantage as home team to win ISL in their debut season to write history once again. They are no longer playing in I-league, a competition which they have won twice in four seasons there, but they are certainly going to make their presence felt in their debut season at Hero Indian Super League by winning another prestigious trophy in their debut season.
