England were lucky to draw in group G along with Belgium, Tunisia and Panama, whereas Argentina find themselves in a tough group D along with Croatia, Nigeria and Iceland.

Group A: Russia, Uruguay, Egypt, Saudi Arabia

Group B: Portugal. Spain, Iran, Morocco

Group C: France, Peru, Denmark, Australia

Group D: Argentina, Croatia, Iceland, Nigeria

Group E: Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia

Group F: Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Africa

Group G: Belgium, England, Tunisia, Panama

Group H: Poland, Colombia, Senegal, Japan

It looks like a favourable draw for hosts Russia as they are paired alongside Uruguay, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The opening fixture of World Cup 2018 won’t command much respect because it will be Russia vs Saudi Arabia. Uruguay is the only team from group A likely to make it to the last 16, whereas Russia, Egypt and Saudi Arabia will fight for the second place.

Group B looks like already finalized for the teams who will make it to the last 16. Portugal and Spain are likely to make their way forward, whereas Iran and Morocco will have to end their journey at group stage. It will be a tough fight for group winners spot between Spain and Portugal, but they’ll have to make sure Iran don’t bring surprises for them.

France is the clear winner in group C. Peru, Denmark and Australia holds no chance against Les Bleus. They’ll be group winners and Denmark may follow them to join in last 16, but we can’t rule out Peru or Australia.

Group D brings a messy situation for Argentina, one of the tournaments favourite. Croatia may have joined the last 32 with a play-off place, but it’s a tough group. Iceland will be playing their first World Cup but everyone knows the threat this tiny nation presents to their rivals. They were in last eight of Euro 2016 and we won’t be surprised if they finish in last 16 of FIFA World Cup Russia 2018. It’s difficult to decide this group, but we can go for Argentina and Croatia to make their way into last 16.

Brazil is certainly going to make their way into last 16 from group E. Switzerland have made their way into last 32 eliminating Northern Ireland in play-off, and they are likely to join Selecao in last 16 from group E as well. Costa Rica may present a challenge alongside Serbia, but this group winner is already decided.

Group F is another complicated group. Germany will be the winner from this group, but Mexico will have to fight for their place in last 16. Sweden will present a challenge as they have eliminated Italy in play-off to fight for their place in last 32. South Africa won’t do much damage, but it will be a tough fight between Mexico and Sweden for group runners-up.

Belgium and England are clear winner in group G. Tunisia and Panama don’t presents any threat to both European giants and it will be a battle between Dark Horses Belgium and Three Lions for the group winner spot.

Group H is one of the complicated groups. Robert Lewandowski’s Poland will try to finish as group winner in this group, but we cannot rule out the potential Of James Rodriguez’s Colombia. Senegal and Japan posses threat as well and it’s going to be a tough battle for all four to prove their potential in the group.
