Paul Pogba, the Manchester United midfielder is currently on its national duty with France national team. France will play friendly against Colombia and Russia during the international break and Pogba is looking to end the criticism he has faced with Man United during the international break. Taking the time out he also talked to TyC Sport and revealed his liking to play alongside Neymar in the future.
The French international is not having a very good relationship with his club manager Jose Mourinho and his form has dropped as well. The £100 million man arrived at United with many promises but he hasn’t given much to the club and his recent feud with Mourinho doesn’t make a happy situation for him at the club. France’s head coach Didier Deschamps even said, “it’s a situation he won’t be enjoying.”
However, Pogba is not talking about the problem with Mourinho. Talking to TyC Sport, he talked about Neymar and the players he looks up to improve his game. He told them as The Independent reports, “Yes, Neymar. I like him. He has the definition of happiness on the pitch. In Brazil football is everything, it’s life in Brazil. Everyone plays football. I love to see him on the pitch playing, with his technique and his ability. It’s a different style.”
“When you say the word Neymar around the world, everyone knows who he is and what he does. Therefore if I could play with him one day it would be a pleasure.”
Pogba also talks about the players he looks upon to improve his game. He said, “When I was smaller I always looked up to Zinedine Zidane, Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, and Ronaldo. I had videos of Maradona, Pele, Chris Waddle, Kaka – many players. I wanted to have all the virtues of those players.
“Now I look more at players like Andres Iniesta, Yaya Toure, Kevin De Bruyne and Luka Modric – who are the very strong midfielder. I look at them to try to be better.”
It is good to hear Pogba praising the players he competes with in the Premier League. De Bruyne and Pogba play for Manchester City and Manchester United respectively, and they are old rivals. De Bruyne is of the same age as Pogba but despite it, he admires the Belgian star and looks up to him to improve his game.
Pogba’s unhappiness at Manchester rings the alarm bell for major European clubs and if PSG lands him at Parc des Princes, his dream to play with Nyman will come true.
