They need their best players with them for the next season, and Lionel Messi’s signature for the upcoming seasons is their priority. Mundo Deportivo reveals through the sources of Cadena SER that Argentine captain has agreed on a deal to stay with the Catalan club until 2021.

Messi’s signature on the new improved contract is yet to be received, but reports says that deal has finalized. Barcelona no.10 is ready to stay with the club until 2021, which can be extended to 2022. The termination clause of La Pulga will be 400m, if any club wants to buyout Messi’s services during the contract period.

The importance of Messi’s renewal with Barcelona cannot be ignored, and Barcelona’s management long chase to renew his services is evident of the importance of the deal. Messi’s current deal expires next season on 30th June 2018, but Barcelona started the talk to renew his contract way back in 2015.
