AS Roma winger and Argentina national team player Diego Perotti clear the issue on Messi-Dybala issue. Talking ahead of AS Roma clash against Barcelona on Wednesday Perotti ends the buzz. He said that Messi-Dybala issue is a controversy created by media and players don’t have any rift between them.
Perotti addressing to the media before Barcelona clash addresses the issue. He said as Football Italia report, “I don’t think [Dybala] said it in the sense that he can’t play with him and they don’t work together. But they play in the same position, or in a similar style, so since Leo is the best he won’t take his place. He was referring to the position, that sometimes they can collide on the pitch, but it was a controversy the media wanted to contribute.”
Dybala made a comment about Messi a few months ago in which he said, “I struggle to play with Messi because of our similar position of play.” The media took it as the controversial statement and mold the statement as per their need but there is no rift between both players.
Juventus star feeling guilty of criticizing Messi also goes on to explain things to Messi. He told TyC Sports, “As soon as arrived at the national team training camp, I went to face him. I said, Leo… and he started to laugh because he already understood. I then realized there was no need to clarify anything. There was no need to talk about it. It was five or 10 seconds and he told me to remain calm and there was no issue.”
Messi has also explained the situation a week ago. He said, “Paulo and I talked about that, what he said is true. With me in the national side he played further out on the left, which he’s not used to. It’s more difficult for us to play there. I don’t often go out on the left. On the right we can cut in and have the whole pitch in front of us. I understood what he said, there was no need to clarify anything.”
Things are very clear between both players but at the cost of one another may lose his berth for Russia 2018. Argentina national team coach Jorge Sampaoli has already made clear that he has no time to work with Messi-Dybala relationship, he should go with something more concrete. And in the result, we saw that Dybala wasn’t called in the team for Italy and Spain’s friendly.
