Arsene Wenger finally has something to cheer out, after a long provoked season. He doesn’t enjoyed a very good relationship with the Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez throughout the season, but it’s Alexis who gave him hope to lift a silverware in their worst season ever. Arsenal reached to their record 20th FA Cup final with Sanchez extra-time winner against Manchester City.
Manchester City were leading 1-0 by a goal from Sergio Aguero second half goal, but Nacho Monreal late header and Sanchez extra-time goal took the match away from Pep Guardiola’s Man City side. It ends Guardiola’s hope of winning a silverware during his first in charge as an England’s club manager.

Guardiola never had a season in his management career that he ends up without lifting a trophy, but England proved to be a hard nut to crack for him. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal ends up his hope of lifting a trophy in his debut year as a Manchester City manager.
City lost David Silva in first twenty-five minutes of the game, and Guardiola forced to bring Raheem Sterling early into the match. But, it didn’t change the course of the action. First-half end 0-0 for both sides, and it was Sergio Aguero who again lead the City to take advantage.
Manchester City advantage didn’t last even 10 minutes, Nacho Monreal heads in 71st minute of the game to equalize for Arsenal. Olivier Giroud’s substitute Danny Welbeck came close to find the winner in 85th minute, but his strike to find the far post marginally misses top left corner. It forced match to go in extra-time, but Alexis Sanchez had a final say into the match.
Sanchez scored from a loose ball, when City failed to clear Mesut Ozil cross, and Chilean made no mistake from the chance gifted. Arsene Wenger enthusiastically celebrated the winner, which set his side up against Chelsea on 27th May for 20th FA Cup final. Arsenal is tied up with holder Manchester United with 12 FA Cup silverware, and it gave Arsenal chance to edge past United.
