Alexis Sanchez : I’m not inferior to Messi or Ronaldo

Current Arsenal forward and former Barcelona man Alexis Sanchez doesn’t feel like he is inferior to his more famed counterparts Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. He feels he belongs to the same genre of players in which Messi and Ronaldo belongs. Messi and Ronaldo shares 8 Ballon d’or between them and Sanches at the very same time struggled to find a regular place in Barcelona lineup during his time at camp Nou.

Former Barcelona man and Messi’s teammate during his stint at Barcelona opened about his play and his abilities talking to Sport as quotes published by the magazine says,“I have reached a level where I can compete with great players. I do not feel inferior to anybody. I liken [my qualities] to Messi and Ronaldo. I have the same abilities as them.”

Sanchez may have struggled to find the regular play time during his time at Barcelona, but he is a fan favourite at Arsenal. He has scored 30 goals in 68 league appearances for Arsenal, since his arrival in North London at Emirates Stadium. He is two time Copa America winner for Chile, and in 2016 Copa America Centenario, he was Golden Ball Award winner.

Alexis won LaLiga and Copa del Rey medals with Barca and also has an FA Cup triumph to his name with Arsenal. He helped gunners to finish at second spot in 2015/16 Premier League campaign, and Copa America trophy to his name, he deserves to be in the list of one of the top 10 strikers in the world.

We still haven’t found the replacement of Messi and Ronaldo at top, and there are many in line as Neymar, Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez competing for their place. Alexis Sanchez have a long battle ahead, we hope he can do something magical for gunners and enjoy a successful campaign with Arsenal to compete with those heavy weights first, then he may think of comparison with Messi and Ronaldo.
