USA advanced into Copa America quarterfinals, Clint Dempsey 51st fro the US sealed their berth in quarterfinals.

USA advanced into Copa America Centenario quarterfinals after a 1-0 win against Paraguay. Clint Demsey, the USMNT veteran striker once again came to rescue and scored an early goal to give the host US the lead. In the 27th minute, Clint Dempsey gave the U.S. a 1–0 lead, firing home a left-footed goal off a pass from Gyasi Zardes. Clint Dempsey scored his 51st for the nation and what a moment to produce goal when your team need the most.


USA win against Paraguay take them into Copa America quarterfinals, and game between Colombia and Costa Rica will decide whether they will top the group A or sit on second. It was a deserving victory for USMNT who were a man down in second half against South American Paraguay who are two times Copa America champion.

USA knocked out Paraguay from group stage, a two time winners and a South American giant to seal their berth in the quarterfinals. Clint Dempsey first half 27′ goal was good enough to seal the victory for USA. USA defended well in second half playing a man down for 45 minutes. Either USMNT defended well or Paraguay didn’t cause much trouble for them, anyway it’s US who will be joining Colombia in quarterfinals.
