Chile will continue to defend Copa America
Chile will continue to defend their title, Alexis Sanchez will be up against Chicharito, Vidal against Maquez, Ospina vs Bravo, interesting quarterfinal fixture.
Chile will continue to defend their Copa America title with a 4-2 win over Panama. Chile wins the game 4-2, with the help of Eduardo Vargas & Alexis Sanchez braces. Chile will be up next against Mexico in quarterfinals. Mexico, the undefeated side who looks like a serious contender for Copa America is feeling at home on the US soil.
Chile scored four goals and both of the men in form Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas served themselves a brace. Eduardo Vargas took credit in the first half with 15′ and 43′ minute strikes. Alexis sanchez made it all clear for Chile fans in second half with 50′ strike and 89′ minute header, that they are going to quarter finals.
Chile will be up next against Mexico on Saturday in Santa Clara, California. Chile need to defend their title, and El Tri have a challenge to beat the best once again. They have beaten Uruguay to eliminate them, the 15 times Copa America champion. They can beat the defending champion Chile as well.
Mexico has his men in form as well. Javier Hernandez ‘Chicharito’ is the key for Mexico. El Tri qualified for the knockout round after winning Group C following a 1-1 draw with Venezuela on Monday. They finished the group stage with two wins and a draw.
Both the U.S. and Mexico have made it through to the last eight, and both by topping their groups. But, on home ground and favoured by their itineraries, anything less than that would have been a big disappointment for CONCACAF’s two giants.

Mexico is a serious contender with likes of Chicharito, Guardado, Marquez, Herrera, Jimenez and Corona are in squad. They are playing as a spirited squad, and with their nine appearance in Copa America, coming close to winning it two times, they really want to grab it this time.
Chile, the defending champion lost their opening game against Argentina but South American still qualified winning their games against Bolivia and Panama. They managed to defend their challenge in group stage and now it’s their take on Mexico in quarterfinal will decide their how far they can defend.
