Sevilla is underdogs against Bayern Munich in Uefa Champions League quarterfinals tie. They haven’t met before in an official match and it will all depend on how both sides perform on the given day. Bayern Munich has every right to be confident about Ramon Sanchez Pijzuan visit. The Bavarian strong side will make a visit to Sevilla after completely dismantling their archrival Borussia Dortmund. They defeated Black & Yellow side 6-0 before making a visit to Seville, whereas Sevilla let go their 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at home against Barcelona. Sevilla need to overcome their Barcelona draw to face Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich is favorite but they must be wary about their hosts’ strength at home. The underdog teams are always in an advantage playing at home first. Their home fans give them the confidence to go into the second match after performing well at home. They always like to avoid an away game first because a negative result will completely leave them shaken. Sevilla has that advantage, but their only problem is to overcome their Saturday 2-2 draw against Barcelona in the La Liga game.
Super team work? + perfect performance? for 88 mins vs Barcelona in #LaLiga… but we did not get the result we deserved. Now full focus on our next great match vs Bayern in the @ChampionsLeague. #VamosMiSevilla ⚪? #Sevilla #SevillaFC #SFCFCB #UCL pic.twitter.com/QYIuDeGRtn

Andalusians almost won against the Blaugrana but in the end, Lionel Messi ruined their moment. They were 2-0 up till 86 minutes of the game and it took Barcelona talisman two minutes to change the game. Luis Suarez made the most of a loose ball pouncing near-post, and then Messi gave them a shock with his outside of the box strike.
Sevilla couldn’t go into the Bayern game with that result in mind. Bayern could cause a similar problem for them and they have to make sure they don’t repeat the same mistake. They must make the most of their home advantage. If they get an early lead, they’ll have to maintain it for the 90 minutes.
However, it’s not easy against the strong Bayern Munich but they have no choice. They’ll have to contain the Bayern supply line. James Rodriguez and Thomas Muller shouldn’t be allowed room to play the ball for their experience wingers (Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery). They also need to make sure that Robert Lewandowski is not left unmarked in the penalty area.

It’s too much to ask but I feel Sevilla has learned their lesson from their 2-2 draw against Barcelona. They need to give their 100% throughout the match. They can’t drop the intensity of the game and allow their opponent to dominate the game.
Sevilla has players in the squad who can make a difference. Vincenzo Montella only needs to utilize his squad as per the requirements. He was criticized by Andalusian Sporting Director Oscar Arias for not using his bench properly against Barcelona in the 2-2 draw. Arias said as Marca reports, “We give the tools to the coach and it is up to him to manage them, but we arrange things based on what we consider. The players’ ability is not discussed. It is as if we signed [Lionel] Messi but the coach doesn’t put him on the field.”
We hope Sevilla has a good night at home on Tuesday and former AC Milan’s coach lead his team well. Bayern will be Bayern as we know, it only needs Sevilla to stretch themselves to go beyond Seville. I’m expecting a great game at Ramon Sanchez Pijzuan
