James Rodriguez arrived at Bayern Munich in summer of 2017 in a loan move from Real Madrid. The Colombian star is the Golden Boot winner of 2014 World Cup and it earned him a move to Real Madrid. Every young player dreams of playing for Spanish giant Real Madrid and the dream did come true for the James, but it didn’t last long. As soon as Zinedine Zidane replaced Carlo Ancelotti as Real Madrid’s coach two and half years ago, his time on pitch got limited and frustration arises. A top player can’t be happy being only part of a squad; he wants a place in playing XI. Rodriguez had the same flair to play every match, but Zidane’s rotation policy with such a talented squad allow little time for the Colombian.
A solution was reached last summer with a two year loan spell to Bayern Munich and now Colombian is in full display. And Real Madrid is struggling with their squad to cope domestically as well as in Europe, and it’s news that Real will brought him back again in Madrid. But the real question is will James Rodriguez return or he’ll stay at Bayern Munich next season earning himself a permanent deal.

The answer is simple; it will depend on Bavarians’ performance in Uefa Champions League. Domestically they haven’t got any competition and Rodriguez is earning accolades with every match at Allainz Arena. His teammates are acknowledging his contributions and manager Jupp Heynckes has all praise for the Colombian. He said praising James after his display in 2-0 win over Mainz, “He is now very well integrated. He is godsend. He has a charisma that shows that he is satisfied and happy in Munich. He is doing very well, but he can be even better”, Sport Bild quotes.
Sport Bild legendary reporter Raimund Hinko who writes “My Bayern” column also ensures his readers that Rodriguez is going to stay at Bayern. He writes, “My regular readers are worried for a long time. They call and write to me for reading a message in Daily Express that will get James back to Real Madrid. I reassure all these fans. I say that all is well as long as English newspapers say something. They blow a few dozens of rumors every week about the globe. More truth is in it when the Spanish sports paper “Marca” writes something. This is a bit the club organ of Real Madrid, they reporters have contacts. So you can rest assured, because Marca wrote, Real couldn’t bring him back so easily. Since his loan agreement with Bayern ends on 30 June 2019, and then has a right of first refusal for 42 million euros. So, Colombian is a bargain.”
Hinko adds, “My feeling and my mind tell me that Bayern fans still have a lot of fun with you. Because for you only one thing is the centre of attention – the ball. A new Mehmet Scholl has risen again in Bayern – only not with right, but with left.
That’s enough of praise for the Colombian to stay at Bayern Munich. And, he can rejoice his career move with a break in summer when he’ll lead his country for Russia 2018 World Cup. He wants a regular playing time and he is getting it. It doesn’t make much difference, he is playing for Real or Bayern, both clubs have a rich history and at the time it looks staying with Bayern will be more fruitful.
