James Rodriguez is happy at Bayern Munich. The Colombian star is on a loan spell to Bayern from Real Madrid, but he is enjoying his life as a Bavarian. He doesn’t want a move away from Bayern Munich as he told The Sun.
Rodriguez told, “At Bayern, I’m fine. I’m good at Bayern. In France (at Monaco) I was playing, now at Bayern, I’m always playing and I think that’s good to arrive (at the World Cup) with a good rhythm.”
It’s a big setback to James Rodriguez chaser in Premier League. Clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United wanted him at their club. They have asked Real Madrid of his availability, but the player himself says no to a move to Premier League.
The Colombian playmaker is playing regularly at Bayern. It’s the only thing he wanted, to be in the rhythm of playing. He wasn’t playing regularly at Real Madrid and that was his concern. Bayern gave him the opportunity and served him well. Now, he feels he is at a great club and he has a chance to win trophies with the Bavarians as well.
The 26-year-old player also told he didn’t have good moments at Real, but he learned there a lot. He said, “What the not-so-good moments gave me at Real Madrid, I think they helped me grow. With time you learn to be calmer. I always want to be good, but with the time you also learn to be calm.”
The player hopes to maintain his rhythm at the summer showpiece in Russia as well. Rodriguez has 4 goals and 9 assists to his name for Bayern from 27 appearances in all competition. He was good in latest international friendlies for Colombia as well. He provided two assists as Los Cafeteros came from behind to win 3-2 against France.
James talks about his role for Colombia in the upcoming World Cup as well. He adds, “I’m at the same level I was in Brazil 2014. I played well because in that year I was playing regularly too. You always dream to have a great World Cup. I hope that will be the case.”
