Dortmund almost bags Bundesliga 2018/19 title with Der Klassiker victory
It’s too early to reach on any conclusion, but Borussia Dortmund have made it clear that Bundesliga 2018/19 title is theirs. Their 3-2 victory against Bayern Munich in first Der Klassiker of the season has almost confirmed that Bundesliga 2018/19 title is going to be theirs.
BVB victory has extended their lead over Bayern to seven points. It’s a substantial gap on points table and Black & Yellows would never like to surrender that lead to taste their first Bundesliga title after a gap of six seasons.
Barcelona loanee Paco Alcacer’s goal separated two teams at the end, after Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus’ heroics for their respective teams. Lewandowski looks dangerous upfront for Bayern Munich as he fires a double but Reus made sure that Dortmund don’t sit back with his two goals which included one from the penalty spot.

It wasn’t a good first-half for Borussia Dortmund. Bayern Munich completely dominated in terms of possession and creative play as their senior players used their experience against the young Dortmund side. They also got a morale boosting goal thanks to Lewandowski, but they forget that Dortmund is good in replying back.

Dortmund is used to scoring in second-half putting in his super-sub on the pitch. Paco Alcacer has been doing this for Dortmund since he arrived at Dortmund on a loan deal from Barcelona. Once again, he become the difference as Dortmund registered a famous victory over Bayern Munich.
Lucien Favre side now knows that Bundesliga 2018/19 is theirs to lift come in May. They only need to be little consistent and don’t become complacent. It’s still a long journey and they’ll have to be prepared for it. Half the battle have been won by defeating Bayern, they only need to consider themselves as winner now.
