Bayern Munich scored 17 goals in their last three Bundesliga game at Allianz Arena, whereas Robert Lewandowski has 7 to his name with two hat-tricks

Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga champion 6th successive time last week, but they still prefer to humiliate their opponent. They displayed a five-goal show against Borussia Monchengladbach to continue their momentum before facing Real Madrid in Uefa Champions League final on 24 May. Sandro Wagner first-half double, Thiago Alcantara, David Alaba, and Robert Lewandowski’s second-half goal helped Bayern come from behind to register a 5-1 victory.

Borussia Monchengladbach must have found themselves in luck when Josip Drmic gave them the lead in the 9th minute, but they forget where they are playing. It’s Allianz Arena and it’s called Bavarian home. They have humiliated both of their last visited Bundesliga rivals 6-0 here and no way they are going to allow Monchengladbach to steal points from here.

Bayern Munich grabbed their 6th successive Bundesliga title

A perfect season would have been ruined at the end if Gladbach have had won. Bayern fights back and Gladbach becomes their latest victim with a 5-1 hammering. Sandro Wagner opened the scoring for the Bavarians in the 37th minute and soon grabbed his second in the 41st minute.

A 2-1 result would have been good enough to earn the victory, but Bayern has always been hungry for more at Allianz Arena. Thiago earned Bavarians third in the 51st minute before Alaba added fourth in the 67th minute.

The leftover job was done by Bayern’s leading goal scorer of the season Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker scored his 27th Bundesliga goal of the season coming off the bench to complete Bayern’s rout. Monchengladbach were lucky that Lewandowski was on the bench, otherwise, he could have walked away with match ball third straight game in the league at Allianz Arena. Lewandowski scored hat-tricks in his last two Bundesliga matches at home against Hamburg and Dortmund.
