Borussia Dortmund run a riot on Numberg as they thrashed them 7-0. The Black & Yellow giant were in full mood to put pressure on Bundesliga table topper Bayern Munich who lose two points last night against Augsburg. Captain Marco Reus lead from the front with a brace and assist for his team as others join him in the mayhem.
The 20-year-old Danish winger Bruun Larsen opened the scoring in 9th minute and Marco Reus doubled the lead in 32nd minute. Borussia Dortmund strike early in the second-half as well. Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi made it 3-0 in 49th minute.

Reus made the most of his opportunity just before the hour mark. Then, Manuel Akanji, Jadon Sancho, and Julian Weigl joined him late in the game on the scoresheet.
Christian Pulisic who scored in his last two outings didn’t find himself on the scoresheet this time, but American forward was very much central to Numberg routing. It was Pulisic through ball which earned Larsen his first goal of the game.
Whenever Reus play, he always find himself on the scoresheet or assist list, but here he was on both list. He scored a brace and provided an assist to Dortmund’s debutant Hakimi with his blistering pace down the left.

Thomas Delaney vision from long ball and Larsen assist helped Reus marked his day with a brace for himself and earned his 100th goal in all competition for Borussia Dortmund. English promising forward Sancho also made his mark with a goal and assist late in the game for Weigl.
Now, only two points separates Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at top. Bayern sits at top with 13 points, whereas Dortmund is on level with Werder Bremen at second with 11 points.
In other Bundesliga matches of today, Bayer Leverkusen defeated Fortuna 2-1, Mainz played a 0-0 draw with Wolfsburg, RB Leipzig registered a 2-0 victory over Stuttgart and Borussia Monchengladbach defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1.
