Robert Lewandowski scored his third hattrick of the Bundesliga season to take his goal tally to 24. It also take Bayern Munich close to their fifth successive Bundesliga title as they romped Augsburg 6-0 to take 13 points lead at top. Polish striker hattrick was accompanied by Thomas Muller brace and Thiago Alcantara second half goal to earn Bayern their 20th league victory.

The 28-year-old Polish striker took 17 minutes to open the scoring for the Bavarians. He latched onto a pass from Thiago to book a place in top corner and then he became a provider to Muller in 36th minute. He whipped a dangerous ball into the area for the German to tap in, who also scored for his national side after a long time.

Lewy earned his second sending the keeper on wrong end after thoroughly collecting Franck Ribery’s pass.
