Bayern continues to fumble, whereas Dortmund achieving higher ground
Bayern Munich falter season continues as they draw 3-3 against the relegation threaten side Fortuna Dusseldorf, whereas Bundesliga leader Borussia Dortmund achieved higher ground with their 1-2 victory over Mainz.
Niklas Sule and Thomas Muller seems to be earning all three points for the Bavarians, but Watford loanee Dodi Lukebakio turned up to be an unknown hat-trick hero for the hosts. Lukebakio has played only 15 minutes of Premier League football before he was loaned to Fortuna this season. And what a day for him to remember as he become the first man to score a hat-trick against Bayern Munich in Bundesliga since Ebbe Sand’s hat-trick for Schalke in 2001.
The result left Bayern Munich at fifth on points table, nine points behind leader Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund registered another convincing win against Mainz to larger their gap on top. Paco Alcacer scored his 9th Bundesliga goal again coming off the bench. He has scored nine goals from nine shots on target, averaging a goal every 29 minute this season.
After signing a permanent deal with the club on Friday, he gave a surety to his fans that they’ll enjoy his goals till 2023. Lukasz Piszczek also finds himself on the scoresheet to win the match for his team.
Dortmund seems to be likely winner of Bundesliga 2018/19 as they currently leads the table with seven points gap at top. Eintracht Frankfurt also won 1-3 against FC Augsburg to continue their fight for the title as well with 23 points. However, Borussia Monchengladbach can leapfrog them with a victory over Hannover on Sunday. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig slipped to fourth with their 1-0 defeat against Wolfsburg.
